This site originates from Southern New Jersey, where Burger Chef
had a presence in the 1960's and into the 1970's.

-closed c. 1973, later Arthur Treacher's Fish then a Pizza restaurant
Route 38 and Longwood Ave
Cherry Hill, NJ
Opened c. 1966
-Closed mid 1970's, later was Italian Restaurant
then Popeye's Chicken. Building was demolished and presently an MRI radiology center is located there.
Delsea Drive (NJ Rt. 47), 200' North of Cooper St (County Hwy 534)
-opened 1967/68, closed 1972. Later in 1972 became Me-n-U Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, remodeld but reconizable as a former BC.
-Closed mid 1970's, Currently Verizon Phone Center, previously Dunkin' Donuts
White Horse-Mercerville Road, across from K mart
-Closed 1980's, today Fame Restaurant
South Broad Street, Across from Independance Mall Shopping Center
Hamilton Township, N.J.
Route 30, White Horse Pike
-Closed late 1970's, later was Burger Ette currently Nino's Pizzaria
1215 Highway 36
-Was Jim's Burger Haven until 10-09. Then demolished for an Auto Zone store.

-Closed late 1970's; later was Burger Hause, Steve's Burger & Ice Cream Hause, currently Boston Market
Rt. 9 & Kennedy Blvd.
-Closed 1976-78Remodeled into Bank of New York, behind current Shell station.
--Sign can be seen in movie The Beneker Gang.
Route 30, White Horse Pike
-Opened September, 1966-Closed mid-1970's, later a check cashing agency.
Route 38-East of Route 73
(Fomer Nichols Shopping Center)
Maple Shade, NJ
-Later was Bread Basket Bakery,
demolished in 1981
Route 73-North of Marlton Circle
-Closed c.1971, vacent until demolished in early 1977 leaving the foundation and flooring.
-Site was cleared in April, 2009 as part of Marlton Circle Replacement Project. A drainage ditch now covers most of the site and an off-ramp passes across the front of teh site.
-Located on outparcel of Pantry Pride market (today IGA), demolished late 1980's-a dry cleaner/laundry now occupies the site.
Mount Holly, NJ
-Closed 1980, later Burger Broil, demolished and replaced
Rt.33, between Rt. 35 and Jersey Shore Medical Center
-now Starbucks Coffee
New Hanover Township, NJ
Northfield, NJ (Atlantic City area)
-Lasted into the 1970's
Westpark Ave. and Route 35
Ocean Township, NJ
-Later Denny's, then Starbucks/Blockbusters.
-First location in South Jersey.
Route 73 and 130
Pennsauken Mart Site
-Closed early 1970's, Later a pizza place- then Chinese restaurant,
later was a seafood store. Was demolished along with the Pennsauken Mart in 2006.
Route 49, About 1 mile before Delaware Memorial Bridge
Pine Baech, NJ
-Later became a Roy Rogers outlet (still operating), recently renovated.
Point Pleasant, NJ
-Later a pizza place. Was razed by fire- today the site is open land, part of county park system.
228 Black Horse Pike
-Later Spaghetti House, currently Wachovia bank.
Toms River, NJ
-Now part of Pine Belt Car Dealership.
Another location was in the Silverton section of Tom's River, closed in the early 1980's, now Wonder-Hostess Thrift Shop.
-Now Nino's Pizzarama.
Black Horse Pike
-Became Arthur Treacher's Fish in mid 1970's.
Delsea Drive (NJ Route 47), South of Park Ave.
-Later Arthur Treacher's. Site was acquired by neighboring McDonalds for construction of replacement building.
Delsea Drive & Butler Ave.
-Today occupied by Mr. Roberts Used Agency
146 Black Horse Pike
West Collingswood Heights (Haddon Township), NJ
329 Haddon Ave.
Westmont (Haddon Township), N.J.
-Opened mid 1970's, this location used Burger Chef's formal look architecture and was short lived. Was later Chez Robert French Restaurant then was demolished.
Fort Dix Street and East Main
Wrightstown Boro, NJ
-Built c. 1968, later was liquor store - now closed.
